Kennett Square Wedding Florist: Willowdale Steeplechase

I hope that everyone had a great Mother’s Day!  Every year on Mother’s Day is the Willowdale Steeplechase in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  What a fun way to celebrate with your mom!  The photo below was taken by Jim Graham Photography.

My obsession continues with creating these great floral fascinators!!!  I was inspired by Great Britain and the Kentucky Derby.

Pennsylvania Wedding Florist - Willowdale Steeplechase - Floral Fascinator (7)

Christina wore this design to the Willowdale Steeplechase last weekend.  I created the structure out of wires and then attached these gorgeous yellow calla lilies!  A ray of sunshine, right?!?!

I am currently working on another floral fascinator and two floral necklaces to be worn at the Radnor Hunt Races tomorrow.  I am still taking orders for floral hats and jewelry designed and created out of fresh flowers and greens with your personal vision in mind.  Up next is the Devon Horse Show at the end of the month.

Delaware Wedding Florist: Floral Stylized Photo Shoot with Cate

I decided to share the pictures from my pin-up inspired floral stylized photo shoot with Cate from last Spring, because I am happy to announce that Cate just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Parker Rose!!!

We had a little bit of drizzly rain during this shoot, but we were troopers.  I love the feel of this shoot, especially with the 1940 Ford Convertible!  If you don’t know me personally, then you may not know that my family is obsessed with hot rod cars.  This car is my uncle’s who let me borrow it for the day.  I am very fortunate!

I wanted to keep a retro All-American theme with red, white, and blue.  The bouquet is designed with lush white peonies, delicate blue delphinium, and bright red hypericum berries and accented with a red bandana.

What do you think about the style of this shoot?  What are you inspired by?  Do you have any suggestions for future floral stylized photo shoots?  I would love to hear from you!

I hope that these pictures inspire you for your wedding day.  Contact me to schedule your own bridal consultation.

Newark Wedding Florist: Tereesa & James at White Clay Creek Country Club

You could just feel the love between Tereesa and James.  They were planning their wedding here in Delaware, but they lived in Arizona.  So, you can imagine each meeting was very important.  I loved bringing Tereesa’s vision to life.  She wanted a classic, elegant look with a touch of country.

The patio at White Clay Creek Country Club is like a blank canvas just waiting to be decorated.  What started as a concrete slab was transformed into a gorgeous ceremony place.  Between the white chair with navy chair sashes to the navy and white striped aisle runner, each of these items brought a layer of Tereesa’s dream alive.  The aisle was lined with copper lanterns flickering with candlelight and hydrangeas and bear grass.  The altar was anchored with a trio of lanterns on each side around a wooden crate.  Flowers were tucked in around the lanterns and on the arbor with white sheer fabric draped around.

Congratulations Tereesa and James!  Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day!
